Dr Joe Pardoe is an early career researcher at the Sustainable Housing & Urban Studies Unit (SHUSU), University of Salford, where he completed his PhD (Social Policy) last year. He focusses on applying qualitative methodologies to conduct research with individuals who face marginalisation. This includes those who may be vulnerable to systematic oppression, including discrete populations engaged with the UK’s welfare benefits system: military veterans, those experiencing homelessness, and mental health adversity.
