Kate is a research fellow at the University of York. She grew up in Hull but now lives in York with her two children and two cats. Kate's research focuses on the intended and unintended impacts of new social security policies. She investigates everyday experiences of social security reforms. Kate has researched parents' experiences and views of Universal Credit, the two-child limit and the benefit cap and has worked with parents to put forward policy recommendations. Kate is part of the Devolved Conversations team.
