Ruth recently took up a new post as Professor in Social and Public Policy (Urban Studies & Social Policy) at the University of Glasgow. Before that, Ruth was a professor of social policy at the University of York, and she leads this research programme. She is a very proud Scot, currently exiled in Yorkshire, where she lives with her partner and four children. She also leads the Changing Realities programme, and led the Benefit Changes and Larger Families project. She is committed to a collaborative approach to research, and to merging different forms of expertise in the knowledge generation process. Ruth is the author of For whose Benefit?
